Allegations are that this is the second time he committed the offense, but the most recent was on December third when the aunt of the child caught him in the act. Santiago Carrillo Junior was charged and arraigned this morning for sexual assault of a minor in the courtroom of Magistrate Emmerson Banner. The other instance was on December second when he entered the child’s room while she was asleep around ten-thirty the night. The child claims that she was awaken by someone touching her on the breast and fondling her, but did not see the person’s face. On the following day, when he returned to the house, the child’s aunt caught Castillo stooping in front of her bed and holding her around the waist. Carrillo pleaded not guilty to the charge and was remanded into custody at the Belize Central Prison until January twenty-ninth, 2019.
