TWB is Live! Bad Weather Forces Empress of the Seas to Seek Shelter in Nassau  The Royal Caribbean ship Empress of the Seas was forced by high winds to seek shelter in Nassau.  The ship will spend the night in port to avoid the weather and provide it's passengers a safe and calm evening onboard.  Five other ships were in Nassau today they were the Norwegian Bliss, Carnival Horizon and Magic, Celebrity Edge, Disney Magic and the MSC Seaside.  The Port of Miami is expecting to break it's single day passenger count as in excess of 52,000 passengers will be processed on Dec 9th 2018.  The port will handle over 5.6 million passengers this year.  The Port of Galveston is reporting that heavy rains may cause delays and flooding at the port for passengers of the Carnival Freedom on Saturday Dec 8th 2018.  This has been an ongoing problem for the port the past year and it may have to be addressed with changes in and around the pier.
