The Economic Community of West African states (ECOWAS) Wednesday called on the defence forces of its Member-States to lend their support in curbing the Ebola Virus Disease.

A statement by the ECOWAS commission, in Abuja, quoted the commissioner for Political Affairs, Peace and Security,  Salamatu Suleiman as saying this in her address to the 34th Ordinary Session of the ECOWAS Committee of Chiefs of Defence Staff which opened in Accra, Ghana.
