The Turkish lira has been on a wild ride. After newly sworn-in President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced a new cabinet, the lira initially sank nearly 4% against the dollar, as investors tried to figure out what the new political system means for the economy. But it soon rebounded after retail investors reportedly sold an estimated $700 million.
