For me, these globe style lights conjure up images of outdoor cafe patios, garden parties and outdoor receptions under pavilions. Do keep in mind though that these aren't rated for water resistance, so I only used these outdoors when the weather is nice and take them down when I'm done. The string is 26 feet long and has 25 bulbs along it, spaced every 12 inches. the bulbs are preinstalled on the string and you'll receive 1 replacement bulb, however, you can replace them with a standard G40 bulb. The construction of the wire and sockets is like typically incandescent holiday lights.

Each light has a hanging clip for individual mounting, and you should never staple or nail the wire when mounting this string light. These are not meant to be permanent installations outdoors, and in windy locations, make sure the bulbs are secured and won't swing around and hit other objects or each other to prevent bulb breakage. Remember that these are incandescent lights and will heat up during operation, so it's best to keep them away from flammable surroundings.

I recommend having someone help you hang glass string lights as they are delicate, and it's easy to step on them or accidentally drop the strand. The fuse is replaceable, and supposedly you can open up the fuse compartment by pulling on the "door" on the plug, but I couldn't get mine open, so I can't verify when kind of fuse it needs or whether or not it can be replaced at all. However, this set provides plenty of light and add a soft, glowing ambiance to any setting. You can chain up to 3 of these units together for a total of 78 feet of light.
