We're definitely living in an "information overload" world and the effects range from acceptable ones such as advertising blindness, banner blindness and clickbait to downright dramatic ones such as emotional numbness and losing our identity.

In fact, information overload seems like too weak of a term to describe what humanity is going through. There are ads and banners around every corner, clickbait headlines surround us and under such circumstances, it shouldn't surprise us that we're gradually becoming emotionally numb and losing our identity.

What can be done in the age of information overload? Ads aren't going away, banners aren't going away and clickbait is here to stay as well... so, what to do then? In my opinion, just taking a minute (literally) to think about issues such as information overload, ad/banner blindness, clickbait and so on is a decent starting point.
