I've analyzed the two most important events of the week from an economic perspective:

1) The results of the elections in France are in, with the two winners of the first French election round being Emmanuel Macron and Marine Le Pen. The second and final round of the French elections will take place on the 7th of May but until then, I think it's time to put round #1 of the French elections under the microscope so as to see how Emmanuel Macron as well as Marine Le Pen stand on policy

2) Trump's tax reform plans look very dramatic but do keep in mind that we don't yet have any detailed information about the numbers behind the tax cuts, repeals and so on. For now, I've simply analyzed the statement about Trump's tax reform plans that we currently have at our disposal. It remains to be seen if the Trump tax cuts will ultimately materialize and just what the specifics of Trump's tax reform will be
