2-3-18 AZUSA - A bad crash on the 210 freeway had traffic backed up for miles this afternoon in the San Gabriel Valley. The wreck happened in the westbound lanes of the 210 near Citrus Ave. in Azusa. At least one person was said to have been injured and the entire westbound side of the freeway was shut down for a time. The CHP managed to open up a couple of lanes, but not before the back up extended back into the send Dimas area. It took more than an hour to get the lanes clear. Although no eastbound lanes were blocked, traffic in that direction was also backed up out of Monrovia. Many drivers funneled onto nearby surface streets, in an attempt to bypass that huge delay.
