Here is Ride On bus 23 traveling along Westbard on its way to the Friendship Heights Metro station. It is passing in front of the Westwood Tower apartment building, and then the rear of American Plant and the Citgo station. I'm standing on the sidewalk behind the Westwood Shopping Center (which has the unique design where the loading docks behind the stores face the street - that apparently annoys some of the nouveau-riche residents who have more recently moved in). Some trivia for you: only 15% of residents use Ride On 23. But route 23 is a convenient way to access the Metrorail system from Westbard. It travels from Sibley Hospital to the Metro station via Sangamore, Massachusetts Ave., Westbard, and River Road. Of course, it turns up Willard to get to the Metro.
