When answering an IELTS Part 2 question, you must fill the 2 minutes naturally and fluently.

This is challenging!

In order to do this, it’s all about context and details.

When describing and event or celebration, there is so much you can talk about!

Try to hold an image in your mind, picturing all the details of the celebration, such as food, clothes, decorations, activities, people’s faces, etc.

Then, just try to describe as much as you can about this mental picture.

One of the keys to higher vocabulary scores, especially in IELTS Part 2, is being very descriptive, and, thus, using a lot of interesting adjectives.

In the last video we learned vocabulary for this kind of topic. Watch that first!

Notes for Sample Part 2 About Halloween

1. Kids costumes- zombies makeup, ninja, Goodwill
2. Friends’ neighborhood, uncommon
3. Flooded with kids and families
4. Super nice people- full sized candy bars and pennies
5. Scary house- indelible memory
     *Guy in chair looked liked statue
     *Kids talking to him
     *He jumped- scared living daylights out of kids

As you can see in the video, I didn’t quite get a chance to use all my notes.
