Along with beautiful mountains and wide open plains, Alberta also has badlands with layers of history exposed in the strata to make it one of the most dinosaur/prehistoric animal-rich areas in the world. The Royal Tyrell Museum located in Drumheller in the heart of the badlands is a must see while in Alberta. Enjoy the bones and let your imagination run wild! I found I wanted to spend less time on reading up on the info boards that were with the bones, as it was a lot of speculation and guess work along with attributions to whichever oil surveyor or company is credited with the discovery.
