Of course. That's what it was built for. About 6 months prior, Metro North bought a brand new LORAM Rail Vac for use around the system. Tonight, that rail vac is here in Fleetwood, sucking out a bunch of dead ballast which happened to be in a muddy soft spot, which makes for an uncomfortable ride. once cleaned out, a hopper full of clean ballast will be brought here and will drop stone.
