Isle of Klezbos 2010 celebrates our 12th annual KlezBiGay Pride Show (archival highlights here!) All-gal Isle of Klezbos goes back to the future in this footage: formed in 1998 as the sister sextet offshoot from New York City's Metropolitan Klezmer, the band has now toured from Vienna to Vancouver, as well as playing PBS, CNN, Showtime's "The L Word," and a special Pride show each June. Thanks to Rich Brotman for video editing. Photo credits (in order) 1999 Chris Whitehead, 2001 Dennis Kleiman, 2003 Gigi Stoll, 2004 Montclair Women's Music Festival, 2005 Judith Z. Miller, 2006 B Lusty, 2007 Anita Briggs, 2009 Angela Jimenez. Footage: Worldbeat, Comix, and (Drom) Stefanie Dworkin & Rich Brotman. Post-production at Magnetic Post, NYC. Tuesday 6/15/2010 "KlezBiGay Pride at El Sol Brillante: Back to the Garden" performance was made possible in part by the New York State Council on the Arts and administered by the Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. Fiscal sponsor: Jews for Racial & Economic Justice.
