President Xi Jinping has addressed a banquet hosted in his honor of Hong Kong ahead of the 20th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China. In his address, President Xi extended sincere his greetings and warmest wishes to the people of Hong Kong. He lauded the succesful implemtation of the one Country two systems. He pointed out that cooperation between the leaders and the people had led to a smooth political transition, improved relations, economic progress and societal stability.
