Error in narration. The Jack Russell is now the 12th day, not 8th day, after liver tumour excision. The sutures are holding well. The dog goes home. A large breast tumour on MG 5 left was removed by another practice vet 8 months ago, but no histopathology was done. The dog was not spayed. Unspayed dogs are more likely to develop breast tumours which may have spread to the liver, in this case. It is best to spay your female dog when she is young.
