A sea lion stampede ensues when the trap door goes down. Many smaller sea lions get trampled under the bigger animals during this process. SLDB reports seeing many sea lions linger on the docks for days in the East Mooring Basin in shock and pain after this very stressful event-- inflicted by the State and Federal Governments. The scapegoating, trapping, hot iron branding, and killing of sea lions has to end. The Columbia River Dogs deserve a safe place to call home..
