More boring than sanding. You probably don't want to watch this. This started as me testing some different camera settings and turned into a five minute single take shop tip type of video. It's certainly not polished, but I kept it anyway. It's time to change my Dust Collector bag, and in this video I show a quick and simple tip that makes changing the bag fairly quick and manageable. But it still is my least favourite job in the shop. Here's the trick: Get yourself one or more rare-earth magnets. Use that to hold the dust bag in position. This will free your hands to fasten the band clamp. Oh, and also ditch the stock bag. Go to your hardware store and look for "Contractor grade" trash bags. They're bigger and thicker -- 3mm thick -- which can withstand the pressure of a Dust Collector.
