Chace Crawford as Christian Grey!? Not so fast!
The 27 year old Gossip Girl actor was rumored to be in the running for the coveted role of Christian Grey in the 50 Shades of Grey movie, but according to new reports, he's out!
Sources close to the film tell Perez Hilton, "Casting wouldn't look {at Chace} as a first, second, or even third choice."
The source even joked that Chace might as well audition for the role of Anastasia, showing he's got no real shot at being a part of the buzzed-about flick.
It's a real bummer, because Chace has been very open about how eager he is to step up to the plate and do a sexy role like this!
He told FoxNews recently, "I would love the challenge. I have not read the books, but what I know is that it is risqué, and to be honest, anything to shake up from the way I have been going would be good."
So who exactly is the 50 Shades of Grey casting team looking at? We're still hearing it's a race between Ian Somerhalder, Alexander Skarsgard, Henry Cavill, and Matt Bomer. We also heard Ed Westwick's name being tossed around too.
