School students and others living in all corners of the country will soon have greater access to important objects and stories related to Australia's history, thanks to a CSIRO robot and high speed broadband connectivity. Our Museum Robot project - or Mobile Telepresence for Museums - will see a robot accompany museum education staff through the National Museum of Australia (NMA). Remote visitors, such as a class of school students in rural and regional Australia, will be able to interact with an educator, providing an interactive learning experience. More information on the Museum Robot project is available here: http://www.csiro.au/Organisation-Structure/Divisions/ICT-Centre/Museum-Robot.aspx A video transcript is available here: http://www.csiro.au/news/transcripts/YouTubeTranscripts/2013/Mar/museum_robot.htm
