The Commissioner of Police, Gary Griffith, has visited Tobago as part of his assessment of the Police Service since his recent instalment. He said he was pleased with what he encountered, and that his concept for Tobago is to see the island even safer than it already is at this time. Mr. Griffith said he was in the process of modernising the Police Service and making it as efficient as possible to cut into crime. The Commissioner said in terms of tourism, he intended to have faster patrols and higher visibility of police, all driven by the Emergency Response Unit to be established soon.
