Chinese Honey Rib Recipe (Chinese Rib Recipe)

Welcome to Xiao's Kitchen. My name is Xiao Wei, ever since my Mother taught me how to cook at an early age, I have always had a strong passion for Cooking. My family still live in Inner Mongolia in the northern part of China, where I visit each year and pick-up new Asian/Chinese recipes.

An awesome dish - sweet and tender for the sparerib lovers.

Ingredients:
1cm ginger root, sliced and chopped 
3 cloves of garlic, peeled and chopped
2 spring onions, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon ground red pepper
2 tablespoons dark soy sauce
2 tablespoons honey
500gm of spareribs. Cut into 1 inch in length pieces (you can ask your butcher to do this)
Small amount (1 tablespoon) cooking oil
2 pints water 
Salt to taste

Method:

1. Boil the ribs in a pan till the meat is tender and drain off the water
2. Heat oil in a wok to high. Add ginger, spring onion, garlic and ground red pepper, then add the ribs. Give it a stir, add the soy sauce. Stir the contents too well mixed. Leave a small amount of spring onion for garnishing. 
3. Add honey to the ribs, stir so the ribs are evenly coated with honey and salt. Cook for 2 minutes.
4. serve onto a dish and sprinkle with the remaining spring onion for garnishing,
