Toshiba's multi-chip package memory (or MCP) for cellular phones integrates an SD card interface controller and a gigabyteclass NAND flash memory which can store a capacity of up to 2 GB. 


"The flash memory of phones needs to increase as users begin to use their phones more widely- like to experience music and movies."

The new MCP combines a variety of memory chips including LP SDAM, standard NAND flash memories, gigabyte-class NAND flash memory, and in the future, pseudo-SRAM and NOR flash memory.
