Goldie Hawn was asleep in a London hotel when she received word she had won the 'Oscar' for her role in 'Cactus Flower'.

Hawn lamented the fact she was in London and did not even know the awards ceremony was taking place in Los Angeles.

What irked Hawn even more so was Raquel Welsh accepted the award on her behalf from her idol Fred Astaire.

So at an #exclusive sit down with 'Goldie' in Melbourne, Australia, host Peter Helliar re-enacted the moment 46 years later....

And didn't the Hollywood star love accepting her award (flowers) from an Australian television icon.
