The Chinese government initiative of Belt and Road is said to assist the overall national growth plan of Ethiopia. The country is one of the two states selected from Africa to be part of the 40 plus billion dollars initiative.In an interview with CGTN's Girum Chala Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia La Yifan said the belt and road initiative also strengthens the historic Silk Road ties between Ethiopia and China.
