Deputy President William Ruto says the current clamour for constitutional amendments is ill intentioned and meant to address individual needs. In a thinly veiled attack on ODM leader Raila Odinga, the Deputy President said it could have been avoided if his proposal for amendments before the passing of the document in 2010 had been heeded. He was speaking in Machakos County during the commissioning of the 12-kilometre Kimutwa-Makaveti-Kwa Mutisya Road.
