Renowned environmentalist Dr. Vandana Shiva talks about how the disappearance of biodiversity has led to the disappearance of nutrition especially in children at the 41st Shriram Memorial Lecture. Every second Indian child is malnourished. Obesity among Delhi school children has risen from 7% in 1995 to 14% in 2005 and 25% in 2010 according to various studies.
