Lebanon man accused of Florida murder reportedly told police he "snapped," "is crazy"

CAPE CORAL, Fla. (WKRC) - A Lebanon man is in jail for murder after reportedly shooting and killing another man in Florida.

Gerald Koller Jr., 49, told police "go big or go home" when they arrested him July 31. Neighbors apparently heard arguing and saw Koller shooting at his boat in Cape Coral, Florida.

When officers got there, they say Koller came out his front door, yelled obscenities at them and then went back inside. He surrendered a short time later.

A 28-year-old father who details boats for a living was found dead near the boat neighbors saw Koller shooting at. Police say Koller, who owns JK Excavating and Utilities in Mason, shot the man at least four times.

Koller later told police he snapped, that he was crazy and that they might as well take him to prison.
