(Rated PG-13) Well, that's it for the eighth season of Microwave Me. This was one of my more interesting seasons. About half of what I did was Christmas-themed, and most of the other half could be tied into Christmas somehow. I had some pretty cool experiments in the 8th season, such as the TV remote and the Santa Claus, but this was a step down from season 7 as far as danger/explosiveness goes. But the sheer WEIRDNESS of some of the items more than makes up for it. I've set this to two public domain Nutcracker songs (Nutcracker March and Trepak by the DuPage Symphony Orchestra). Please DO NOT falsely claim copyright on these songs. Here's some more questions that different people have asked me recently.

Q: What happened to the move to Vimeo?
A: Didn't really pan out. Most of my audience did not or could not move to Vimeo, so I reluctantly continued uploading everything to YouTube. I still am maintaining my Vimeo account and do upload to there occasionally as a backup plan

Q: Do you still accept donations?
A: Yes.

Q: Someone stole your video! What should I do?
A: Tell me and I'll contact Google about it. Someone actually did steal and reupload my snow globe video. Their account has been suspended.

Q: Why didn't you microwave the lava lamp or Axe can like you promised?
A: I've made lots of season finale promises, haven't I? Well, things happen, usually weather related. I can't microwave out in the rain for obvious reasons, and some items just have to be done outside.

Q: Since you're back to YouTube, does this mean a return to a more frequent microwaving schedule?
A: No. At this point, I'm going to be infrequent since it's winter and we're actually getting snow this year. Maybe in the spring it'll be a different story, but for now, there's going to be some gaps in the microwaving time frame.

Q: Are you on good terms with the creators of other microwave shows?
A: Yes, and we support each other. Jon (of IIAGITMT) supports my show, and dOvetastic and BLHProductions are actually subscribed to my channel and comment from time to time. Each have also approved my videos as responses back when it was an option on YouTube. Unfortunately, fanboys don't really care that they support my show because they're too irrationally in love with the show that they don't realize or even care that the creator does NOT want them to harass other microwave shows.

Q: What's up with the MicrowaveMeQuickies channel?
A: It's the shortest possible format of each microwave episode. It's pretty much Microwave Me for people who think Rocky would be better if it just cut to the end of the boxing match.

Q: Why did you get rid of the music?
A: It was too much of a hassle repeatedly giving myself permission to use my own music.

Q: Are you going to drop the "Vimeo exclusive" tagline for season 9?
A: Yes.

Q: Why do you film so close to metal objects in the microwave? Didn't you know that metal can blow up a microwave, or even your whole house?
A: That's a complete myth. I've heard people say that metal "blew up" their microwave, but what they mean is they see sparks and misinterpret it as the microwave getting ready to blow up and spray shrapnel across the room. The truth is, while it's not good for your microwave (it can leave black burn marks and bad smell), it's not going to turn your microwave into a bomb. The only instance I've seen of something of that nature is on Brainiac, and I have reason to believe they "enhanced" that one particular experiment. You're more likely to have your microwave blow up from not cleaning it often enough than from putting metal in the microwave. The things that DO blow up a microwave are pressure vessels, meaning containers where the pressure is allowed to build up until the container burst. The worst I had was a champagne bottle which DID blow up my microwave, but it didn't even come CLOSE to blowing up my house. Even the nearby objects were unharmed. Besides, don't you think there's be at least one news story by now of a house being blown apart? And wouldn't microwaves be banned?
