The Phoenix Suns await us in this part of our NBA 2K17 MyGM / MyLeague mode series! In NBA 2K17 the Phoenix Suns are a young but struggling team, much like their real-life counterpart. Despite their growing pains, taking over the Suns in NBA 2K17’s MyGM or MyLeague mode can be a lot of fun with their very offensive minded playstyle. Devin Booker is a potential superstar in the making and guys like TJ Warren, Marquese Chriss and Tyler Ulis could also all have a bright future ahead of them in Phoenix. If you are willing to give the Suns some time in your MyGM or MyLeague mode playthrough, you might get rewarded with an intriguing core for years to come. A lot of those core pieces are already in place in Phoenix but there is always room for some adjustments. In this video we will go over three ideas for moves to make as the GM of the Phoenix Suns in NBA 2K17 MyGM or MyLeague mode.

We will take a look at the Phoenix Suns roster, rotation, contracts and salaries and then make a few adjustments to positions and rotations in order to get the best out our roster. For a change we won’t make any trades but instead hand out a large contract extension and cover the offseason a bit more in-depth. As always in this MyGM / MyLeague mode series we will try to keep the Phoenix Suns core together and don’t make any high-profile trades to keep this NBA 2K17 video as realistic as possible.

PLEASE NOTE: I have recorded this NBA 2K17 MyGM guide in the MyLeague mode of NBA 2K17. This was done to prevent my 2k account from leveling up in MyGM. All moves that are made in this video in MyLeague mode can also be made without any problems in MyGM mode.

This NBA 2K17 MyGM video aims to be a realistic guide with ideas on what moves to make in the first year of either MyGM or MyLeague mode. There might be better moves to make – there might also be worse moves to make. NBA 2K17 MyGM mode always offers multiple strategies to achieve success and this video tries to outline only one of them. Above all, realism is key in this series – as far as the game allows for it. We will not go after the same big name free-agents every year and we will not exploit NBA 2K17’s trade logic.

NBA 2K17 is a basketball simulation video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. It is the 18th installment in the NBA 2K franchise and the successor to NBA 2K16. It was released worldwide on September 20, 2016, for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360. Several game modes are included, such as MyCareer, where the player creates a customizable player and plays through their career, MyGM and MyLeague, both franchise modes where the player controls an entire organization, and MyTeam, where the player creates a team to compete against other players' teams.

All NBA 2K17 MyGM gameplay was recorded on the PC at 1080p.
