Sometime last week, John Thomas was one of two victims in a collision at the junction in the village. Eyewitness reports are that the driver of the offending vehicle was intoxicated and that could have led to the accident. He fractured both of his legs during the head-on collision. But interestingly today, police say that blood samples could not have been obtained at the instruction of the medical team who attended to him.
