loudlabs.com HANCOCK PARK - Crews battled a large tree fire in the Hancock Park area after winds toppled a power line sparking the fire. Firefighters were called to the 400 block of South Arden around 7:50pm. Officials say it took 10 minutes to knock down the fire. Witnesses say they heard a loud sound and a large flash before their power went out. Officials advise anyone who sees a power line down to call 911 immediately. Several blocks within the Hancock park area remain without power.
