A5201718 Sherwin is an easy-going 4-year-old grey neutered male Pit Bull and Mastiff mix who was found as a stray in Covina and brought to the Baldwin Park Animal Care Center on July 19th. Weighing 84 lbs, Sherwin is gentle and affectionate, an all-around charmer. Sherwin has done great at shelter events meeting people and he needs an experienced big dog person to show him the way with good training because he is strong and interested in everything. He loves human contact and also enjoys a good squeaky toy. He walks ok on leash, and would love to be part of a household where he goes on walks or hikes regularly. He passed his shelter-administered temperament test with flying colors. Sherwin has gotten along with female dogs in our shelter’s doggy playgroups, but he’s a little tense especially around other larger males, so we are recommending him for households where he will be a solo pet, at least until he’s trained and settled in. Sherwin will be a loyal and loving best friend as an indoor companion in any forever home eager to welcome a robust, affectionate large dog.
