Don't be alarmed: Music Hall's acoustics test Thursday will sound like gunfire

OVER-THE-RHINE, Ohio (WKRC) - People near Music Hall Thursday will hear what sounds like gunfire coming from the roof of the theater, but it won't be real.

The simulated gunfire is being used to test the acoustics in Music Hall as well as test the impact potential sound the new FC Cincinnati stadium could have on it.

The testing could last for up to three hours and will sound like shots fired from a shotgun.

The city of Cincinnati and the police department say there is no need to be alarmed. Each will be updating the public on social media throughout the day.
