On March 27, 2016 while sitting on the rocks on the bank of the Columbia River a beautiful steller sea lion came over to get a better look and commune with SLDB observers. No fish eating scenes have been edited out of this video. The sea lion in this video was simply enjoying exploring and swimming in the river and he discovered humans on the river bank that meant him no harm. In a few moments of silence an amazing convergence of our souls transcended any separation between species in our mutual love for this planet , all life , the wild fish, and what remains of the wild Columbia River ecology of the Pacific Northwest. In addition we all deserve to eat and we all deserve a safe place to sleep. Moreover we all deserve a safe place that we can call home.
