Van Buren State Park, Ohio: Evening to Night Hike Van Buren State Park is a great local option for people looking to go hiking in Ohio. I use it mostly for conditioning hikes and here we take a quick night hike to a place that is very convenient for me to go to. Van Buren allows me to prepare for backpacking and hiking trips and it's not a bad place to get a good feel for your backpack and get ready for hiking season when you've been out of it for a few months.
