Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta will lead a strong delegation of horticultural farmers and traders to the China International Import Expo in Shanghai. Kenya expects to sign a deal for the export of avocados, mangoes and cashew nuts. President Kenyatta has told the Cabinet that China and Kenya will sign an agreement to pave the way for the export of more than 40 percent of Kenya's fresh produce to the Chinese market. The two countries will also sign an M-O-U to establish a trade negotiation working group. The group will be mandated to negotiate trade tariffs, especially on Kenya's tea and coffee exports to China.
