UC Health responds to Local 12's report on Title IX investigations

CINCINNATI (WKRC) - UC Health has responded to Local 12's report on the results of two Title IX investigations involving two prominent doctors at UC Medical Center.

The investigations found the complaints against Dr. Kenneth Davis did not rise to the level of sexual harassment, but they did implicate the university's code of conduct. And for complaints against Dr. Michael Edwards, the investigation found "his conduct did not constitute harassment or discrimination under university policies.”

UC Health president and CEO Richard Lofgren issued a memo to all employees Wednesday, saying, in part, that it's important for him and the executive leadership of UC Health to "lead -- even when it is hard -- to make necessary changes to create the environment where people want to work and where patients choose to receive their care."

He added, "It is not enough to be outstanding with our patients -- we must care just as much about being good to each other...Each member of the team must have a voice and a place to contribute without fear."
