I have seen people like Tai Lopez and Cody Sperber talk about the differences between buying a home vs renting. With home ownership being a big deal I thought I would address this topic. I did it while I was playing a game of CS:GO, however don’t let this distract you from the point at hand! I am a big gamer an have played first person shooters like counter strike my whole life, however I am an even bigger real estate investor. You don’t need to be a clever investor or have some crazy real estate education or be flipping houses to determine if buying or renting a home is the best option for you, you just need to consider the facts and weigh the pros and cons. For me, why I recommend people buy, is so that they can build equity and essentially live in their home for free or make money off of their house. If you aren’t required to move a lot an are planning to rent the same house for 3-5 years or longer, it doesn’t make sense not to purchase. Some would argue that home ownership expenses for repairs add up, however it really isn’t that much, especially if you keep your home in good shape an don’t abuse it. However, anything can happen an big expenses can pop up, however the best part is that your mortgage payments are going towards your ownership, not a landlord! If you are considering buying a home or are taking the first steps towards homeownership like getting preapproved, shopping around for loans and mortgages I encourage you to watch this video. I am someone who says that buying a home is better 8/10 times for most people, however it is not always the best for anyone. With tougher lending standards making it harder for people to get a mortgage and large down payments required, a lot of people can’t afford it, or their lifestyle will not permit it.
