Watch what happens when a sea otter gets its paws on a GoPro (protected in a custom otter-proof housing). Sea otters generally use their nimble paws to grasp onto prey, like sea urchins and crabs, not to take selfies. Four rescued sea otters live at the Vancouver Aquarium. Three of them were rehabilitated after being abandoned as pups. Wally was rescued in the fall of 2013 after being shot and blinded on a beach in Tofino, Vancouver Island. Because he can’t see, he relies on his sensitive paws to feel around his habitat. Learn more about the Vancouver Aquarium Marine Mammal Rescue Centre: vanaqua.org/mmr
