School resumes in Ebola hit areas in DRC Congo

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) said 80 percent of school children returned to school in Ebola-affected areas of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). UNICEF said the return comes a month after the beginning of the school year in the Beni and Mabalako health zones, the two epicentres of the current Ebola outbreak in the eastern DRC with girls representing more than half of the children.
