Police have arrested five persons and seized 600 kilograms of narcotics during an early operation at 2am on Sunday in Valsayn. Officers of the Special Operations Response Team (SORT) executed a search warrant at Mayfield Road, Valsayn North. Officers searched a Nissan E-25 panel van where they discovered 600 kilograms of a plant resembling marijuana, packaged in black garbage bags. Police arrested 5 men, however, 4 women who are Venezuelan nationals are assisting investigators in connection with the find. The Commissioner of Police says he intends to break the back of the drug trade and cripple their business. The operation follows a recent bust where over $2 million of illegal drugs and several automatic rifles were seized and persons held.
