Hottest day ever in Melbourne's history. 46.4 C and we had a fire 150 Metres from our house. This is the aftermath. About 10 minutes later. We had to help the firey's kick down the fence, so they could get access. Next door (where the firey's are standing), the back fence was all alight. Completely gone. The back wooden porch survived by 1-2 metres, Amazing a fence burnt and not a wooden porch... Dam certain, if we had not of helped this house, possibly others would have been toast. Thanks to all the neighbours that helped. And the owner for allowing us to help.
