I am a breakfast person... as we all should be (um... most important meal of the day), and even when getting up and at em early in the am, I have to eat breakfast, have coffee, and hydrate with water. BUT, sometimes early morning departures from hotels make the whole breakfast thing a challenge. Which is why you should just ask. If you are departing before breakfast service and you know that none of the local cafes will be open, ask the front desk manager the day before if there is anyway they can put together a little to-go breakfast for you. See if you can swing a coffee too. If not, buy a cold coffee that you can refrigerate the day before, ask if there is a coffee maker that can be placed in your room, or don't leave home with those little Starbucks to-go instant coffee packet (I always carry them in my purse). The point is, if you have a big day ahead of you, you don't want to tackle it with a cloudy head or a rumbling stomach. Just ask... the worst thing they can say is no.
