6 distressed Corgi pups were delivered via Caesarean section in this 63-day pregnant Corgi. She was mated once on Mar 24 and had no signs of contractions at 63rd day. I thought it was an easy surgery and predicted 30 minutes. Instead, all 6 pups were not crying but just moving their tongues despite head swinging and massage for more than 8 minutes. So, the whole surgery took 2 hours from 7 pm to 9 pm with much time reviving the pups. On the next morning, the owners told me that all 6 pups were suckling the dam and were OK. All 6 pups would have died without resuscitation and so it was miraculous that the first pup cried loudly some 15 minutes after the first pup delivery. After completion of surgery some 90 minutes later, I thought the largest pup would not survive as he had not cried but was just moving his tongue. His nose was cyanotic and he only moved his tongue and was life-less. 5/6 survived. Good results. I put the pup's mouth into my mouth and blew into his lungs to inflate them after another round of head swinging to remove the mucus. I heard a crackling sound of the lungs opening. Surprisingly, he started to breathe normally (next video)..
