Kenya amputee team wins at World Cup donned in Sonko jerseys

The national amputee team to the 2018 Amputee World Cup in Mexico beat USA 2-1 in their second Group B match on Tuesday morning despite being reduced to six-men. The team had lost its opening match 4-1 to Turkey. The win has however elicited debate after pictures circulated online of the team donned in yellow "Team Sonko" branded jerseys instead of the national colours. The team faced a lot of financial challenges in their quest to represent Kenya at the Amputee World Cup.
