loudlabs.com RIVERSIDE - Late Thursday night October 25, 2018 the City of Riverside Fire Department along with the California Highway Patrol responded to reports of a vehicle fire along the 60 Freeway. The fire was reported around 10:16pm on the eastbound 60 Freeway just west of the Day Street off ramp. The first arriving engine company located a white sedan, on the right shoulder, with heavy fire coming from the engine compartment. Firefighters were able to quickly knock down the fire. The occupant of the vehicle was able to escape without injury. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
