40% of the world's economy uses a Cap and Trade system - so why is Marco Rubio so afraid it will destroy OUR economy? 
In tonight's GOP Debate, Marco Rubio was asked about Climate Change. He answered that protecting the environment would ruin our economy, and that he would never consider a Cap and Trade system. But it doesn't have to be this way! 
Under the right circumstances, cap and trade programs have
proven extremely effective- they help cut emissions, and they make the big polluters accountable. Far from ruining the economy, they actually force oil and coal companies to invest in the US economy - by planting trees or investing in green technology. 

America's existing cap and trade programs – the Acid Rain
Program (to cut SO2) and the NOx Budget Program – have saved the United States from acid rain, without ruining the economy. 

They're also being used around the world, from Australia, China, Japan, Brazil, New Zealand, Thailand, and 27 countries in Europe. 

Cap and Trade doesn't have to be the ONLY answer to climate change. But we have to start somewhere - and it's a pretty popular place to start!

Ted Cruz opened the final Republican presidential debate before the Iowa caucuses Thursday by answering a question from Fox News moderators about "the elephant not in the room" -- Donald Trump.

"Let me say, I'm a maniac," the Texas senator said in response to Megyn Kelly, channeling Trump's barbs. "And everyone on this stage is stupid, fat and ugly and Ben, you're a terrible surgeon. Now that we've gotten the Donald Trump portion out of the way..."

Marco Rubio said the 2016 presidential campaign is "not about Donald Trump."

"He's an entertaining guy, he's the greatest show on earth," the Florida senator said, adding that the focus should be on preventing Hillary Clinton from getting to the White House.

Jeb Bush, who has been increasingly combative with Trump during the debates, joked that he wished Trump was there. He appeared to take a swipe at his rivals on stage for not taking on Trump as aggressively as he has.

"I kind of miss Donald Trump. He was a little teddy bear to me," Bush said. "Everybody else was in the witness protection program when I went after him."
