CINCINNATI (WKRC) - The father of Andrew Allen says that there's no more talk about if he'll survive, but what's next in his recovery. Todd Allen shared an update to the Team Brody Facebook page. That was the page created to update the public about his young son Brody, who recently died of cancer. Allen feared he'd have to bury another son after Andrew was hit by two cars in Colerain Township on Nov. 5. Todd Allen says his son his still not awake but he has taken some breaths on his own and opened his eyes. They're planning the rest of his surgeries so Andrew can be transferred to a rehab facility. Allen called the doctors, nurses and staff treating Andrew amazing. He once again thanked the community for their prayers, encouragement, love and support. "We could not have made it this far without you. Thank you for being there for us during Brody's fight. And thank you again for being with us now as Andrew faces and uncertain future, but a future none the less. "
