Kirinyaga Governor, Ann Waiguru, has withdrawn a case where she sued ODM leader, Raila Odinga, for defaming her. Raila had linked Waiguru to the loss of hundreds of millions of shillings at the National Youth Service that led to her resignation in 2015. During a private meeting at the opposition leader’s office at Capitol Hill, Raila said by-gones should be by-gones while Waiguru said in the spirit of cohesion and reconciliation in the country, the matter stands settled. Ken Mijungu digs back into the genesis of this conflict.
