Egypt import tariffs raised to temper weakens

Egypt has raised tariff rates on a wide range of imports as authorities try to curb dollar spending that is affecting its current account. Custom duty has been increased from 30 to 40 percent on products which include household appliances, cosmetics, garments, footwear and nuts.
